Mental Ability Test (MAT) - मानसिक क्षमता कसोटी
The Mental Ability Test (MAT), previously referred to as the Intelligence Test, is a highly significant subject. While it is not directly included in the school curriculum, it is a component of almost all competitive examinations. There is no fixed syllabus for this subject, which means there are no age restrictions; individuals in the age group of 12 to 13 years, as well as those aged 20 to 25, may be asked questions of this nature. The level of difficulty may vary slightly, but the main objective is to assess various mental abilities of the students.
This subject tests the following mental abilities of students:
- 1) Logical reasoning
- 2) Analysis
- 3) Keen observation
- 4) Imagination
- 5) Numerical skills
- 6) Basic mathematical operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- 7) General knowledge
- 8) Critical thinking
Question Type:
- Generally, all questions are multiple-choice, with each question providing four alternative answers. Students must select the most correct option among them.
